Before the next hand starts this player will be asked if he would like to post a big blind or like to wait for the big blind to get to him naturally. If the player is only a few spots away from the blinds and decides to post the blind anyways, it shows that this player is impatient and wants to play. This generally means that this poker player is going to play weaker hands in order to play more often. Again, on the other side of this tell, a player who is willing to wait 5,6, even 7 hands is probably a patient player who will be able to wait for better hands before getting involved in a pot.

The Chat Box

Poker is a very social game, and online poker is no different. Every online poker table has a chat box in which players at the table can say pretty much anything they want. A lot of information is given out for free if you pay attention to what players are saying. The chat box is usually full of players venting after a bad beat, or arguing with each other.
